School Counseling News

This year will be a great one filled with so many new things to learn and experience. I will be visiting all classrooms teaching a variety of character, social, academic, and emotional skills as well as career possibilities. I am excited to spend this time with the children helping them become well-rounded students.  I will also continue to meet with students to help them with any personal needs. Please let me know if there is anything that I can assist you and/or your student to help them be successful this school year.
Terrific Tiger of the Month:  Every month I will focus on an important character trait for the students to possess.  Each teacher will nominate a student who stood out in showing this trait. Then I will randomly draw a nominee out of a hat for the Terrific Tiger of the Month for each grade.  Please encourage your child to be a student of GREAT Character.  The character traits focused on each month are as follows:
August- Helpful, September- Trustworthy, October- Honest, November- Giving, December- Responsible, January- Respectful, February- Kind, March- Hard Working, April- Ready, May- Thoughtful
I am certification in the Mindfulness practice.  I am excited to be able to use this training to better assist Ridge View Students. You can follow the link to check-out what mindfulness is:
